IT'S WHO WE ARE

This is who we are, Sweet sometimes, And sometimes sour. Partly Flawed, And partly Perfect, The choices we make, The route we select The path we take, Definitely Reflects; The experiences We've picked on the way, The scars We've carried every day. A lil damaged, yet beautiful Frustrated sometimes, And sometimes peppy. Dejected some days,  And some days Happy. Take a moment, look into the mirror, We've laughed, we've cried; Appreciate & love yourself For this one Hell of a Ride. We've come so far, Let's not lose or forget Who we Truly are! :-))

Trauma

Isn’t it ridiculous? How couple of words Can turn a smile into a frown. A jolly mood completely upside down. Sometimes, we create our own demons And sometimes the world creates one for us :( As in, sometimes they weren’t written well, your stars; And sometimes we create our own scars. No matter how truly someone heals, No matter how positive someone feels; Someday at 3am, when He resurrects, You will give in, and he will feed. He will laugh and you will bleed From a scar that was created decades ago A scar, that’ll never leave you All it takes is a few words right, And it’ll pain just as if it happened last night.

Chance

Chance  - Written in collaboration with a friend during the Covid19 lockdown of 2020 Surpassing an unexpected Sitch, What if we get a chance? For all the time that’s lost, To reinvent and enrich/ Life had seen something lesser-known, Came a pandemic to break the monotone. We got good time to self explore, And a gap from all the hoo-ha before. Many were able to untangle thoughts, While others’ minds and hearts fought. Hate, violence, and greed had rotten our mind, Love, compassion, and selflessness are the things we need to find. This year unfurled many dumps, But humans overcame with triumph, We struggled, got distressed yet were united, Hope this light is forever ignited. This is a phase where humanity has paused, Giving nature some time to breathe, From everything, we humans have ever caused. It is an opportunity to come out as an evolved race; And creating a new foundation, A stronger base. What if we had another chance? A chance to write history, Which blossoms with blis...

Melancholy

Melancholy (This Poem was written in Xth grade) There’s no monster below your bed, He’s waiting to attack your heart, He’s living inside your head; To break you apart. Every thought becomes a battle, Every breath’s a war, All on the other end And you ain’t winnin’ anymore. You’ve got eyes of innocence, Face of an angel, A smile, that hides infinite pain; And pearls that are invisible in rain. How do you run away From what’s inside your head? They say you gotta stop overthinking, For it’s making you mentally dead. You want to talk and shout and yell aloud, You are your own spine, No matter how messed up it is, You’ll just utter, “I’m fine.” You’re unable to sleep at night, Your body’s trying to fight, With a mind that’s already dead, Fallen apart, cryin’ on bed.

Every Night I Board this Train

Every Night, I board this train, Leads to Nothing, but frustration & pain; Flashbacks, memories & unwanted past, No idea, how long this will last. I once had such thoughts, But now the thoughts control me, This me, Nobody can see. My mouth is open, but the heart refrains, Months pass by, but the thoughts remain, I may act normal, but my mind's insane! Every Night, I board this train, Leads to Nothing, but frustration & pain; Flashbacks, memories & unwanted past, No idea, how long this will last. There with y'all, but I'm not; Zoned out, I keep thinking deep, My mind can't kick out these thoughts, So I keep 'em till I sleep! I feel like Running away! Away, from Everything & Everyone Abandon all, and disappear forever, Where no one can find me ever! Look, I don't generate these thoughts intentionally, Bcoz there's nothing to lose, or nothing to gain, Every Night, I board this train, Leads to Nothing, but frustrat...

Vision - A Micro tale

Like every other teenager of this generation, Avi went to sleep at an unreasonable hour. So you can imagine his frustration when he was woken up with the sound of a gunshot at 9am. A plethora of scary thoughts ran through his mind as he tried to figure out where the sound came from. Due to the drowsiness that consumed him, he had forgotten that his father was a police officer, and practicing his aim was a regular activity in this household. While chastising his own stupidity, he freshened up and checked his phone, only to see the low battery sign staring right back at him. This day was getting more and more terrible by the second and Avi couldn’t even imagine what misery lay ahead.  The only thing that distracted Avi from this situation was the thought of the interesting girl who caught his eye in the cafe he visited daily. As he finished the mango milkshake his mom had prepared for him, he thought about ideas to strike a conversation with the mystery girl. The Rajas wer...
